Crazy male teddy bear hamster.. HELP?

I purchased a male teddy bear hamster about one week ago. He is crazy and makes scary noises. He is my little sisters and she is petrified of him. He bit her and isnt very clean. I have a female who is so kind and gentle. Why is her hamster liek this? should we bring it back and try to purchase another female? thanks!
