Painting mobile home?

I am purchasing a 2002 16x80 mobile home. It is in great shape, very nice, and almost ready to move into. The question i have is this: The kitchen and both bathrooms need to be painted. The home is constructed with 3/8" drywall with the laminate overlay. If the laminate weren't so unattractive i wouldn't even paint b/c the walls are in great shape. The walls have never been painted before. What are your suggestions as far as priming and painting? Thank You. Also, this project is being done on a budget. Thanks.
