Subpoena in texas, subpoena for video deposition?

my 17 yr old child was penger in car involved in crash, lawyer for insurance company served daughter subpoena for video deposition in lawyer's office, subpoena not actually signed by presiding judge, if she is forced to arrive at deposition does she have to speak, for christ sake..is america some kind of police state?? my daughter in my eyes is an innocent bystander, this country was founded by very intelligent and brave people fleeing religious and judicial persecution
