What is the difference in rabbits?

I am looking for a small rabbit and i am wondering what types that is the best we are going to keep it outside as we have a dog in the house and we are fixing to go start to build a three storry hutch we already had the cage from my ferret will they like a three story one and but i am more interested in what types they are out there
