Has anyone else ever considered eloping?

eloping sounds awesome. i like private, intimate settings. and being in nature sounds even better. i don't like crowds. and then inviting people who don't know everyone else.. it's just kinda weird. i agree, a wedding ideally should be mainly involve the couple getting married and the other officiant person. but i'm not engaged right now so these are just thoughts and not actual plans of mine
